ABOUT

Nadia Fay is a visual artist living and working in Portland, Oregon.

Her current paintings consist of real and imagined landscapes, combined in layers to create an intersection between the abstract and the representational, the irrational and the predictable, and of chaos and order. Her process takes place on the ground, miming the topographical nature of these works, which are often influenced by aerial satellite imagery. These paintings are acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

Fay earned a BA at Reed College in 2004 with an emphasis on painting and photography, and exhibited her work "Studies in Accidental Systematics: Art and Meaning Between Chaos and Order" at the Reed College Senior Thesis Show.
